At the end of 2025, the AIM Department conducted a customer survey on its products and services to assess the importance of the services, the level of satisfaction, and to collect suggestions for improvement. The results were compared with previous years to track changes over time.
Key findings
- Most services were rated as very important or essential.
- The most important services were the timeliness and data quality of eAIP content, NOTAM services, and the quality of aeronautical charts.
- Satisfaction is generally high and stable, including satisfaction with the ARO briefing, NOTAM office customer service, and the structure of eAIP.
- Lower satisfaction was observed with the usability of mobile views (eAIP, NOTAM PIB, NOTAM map), flight plan submission via the AIM website, and the use of the VFR Information Guide.
- Although Pilot Portal has been out of service since May 2025, customers continuously consider it important and are waiting for the portal to be restored or a new solution to be developed.
Planned improvements
- The AIM website has been updated with instructions for requesting an earlier briefing – the instructions can be found at: https://aim.eans.ee/et/notampib
- Flight information specialists and data originators will be given guidelines to use fewer abbreviations and clearer text in NOTAMs.
- Processes will be reviewed to ensure data originators check data on danger areas and in the VFR Information Guide more frequently.
- Solutions for making eAIP more mobile-friendly will be explored.
- A solution will be sought for displaying NOTAMs by period.
- Explaining to customers the reasons for Pilot Portal malfunction and collecting input on Pilot Portal development.
- Continuously guiding users on the use of NOTAM map functions, aeronautical charts and AIP product usage requirements.
- Cooperating with Tallinn Airport to harmonize airport procedures.
- Reviewing in cooperation with the Transport Administration the options for more frequent publication of VFR charts.
