Establishment of Temporary Danger and Restricted Areas for UAS Air Operations

1 General

This AIP SUP supplements the following portion of the AIP: ENR 5.1, AD 2 EEKE.

Possible changes to AIP SUP shall be published by NOTAM.

2 Period

01 JUN 2026 to 30 NOV 2026

Usage of the areas shall be specified by NOTAMs. Established areas will be available for planning H24 and on all days of the week. Duration of flight operations will be up to 12 hours per day.

3 Purpose

Temporary Danger Areas EED2611A, EED2611B, EED2611C, EED2611D and Temporary Restricted Areas EER2611E, EER2611F, EER2611G, EER2611H, EER2611I, EER2611J, EER2611K, EER2611L, EER2611M will be established due to European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) flight operations.

Flight operations will be conducted over the territorial sea and exclusive economic zone of Estonia within the Tallinn FIR. Areas will be established in airspace class G.

The established restricted and danger areas will not affect the permanent areas published in the Estonian AIP.

The UAS is equipped with a Mode C transponder.

Date, time and duration of activity will be published by NOTAM at least one day before (D-1) operations. Restrictions apply to both manned and unmanned non-participating aircraft. The flight by non-participating aircraft within/to/from active temporary restricted area shall be pre-coordinated at least 60 minutes before take-off with UAS Ground Control Station or Maritime Operations Centre. The contact number will be specified by NOTAM. For early coordination, the required information shall be sent via email to operations@extensee.com. Applications for flying within restricted area must contain the following information: reference to the name of the temporary restricted area(s) activated by the affected NOTAM; aircraft callsign; type of aircraft; requested route/location within the temporary restricted area; estimated entry and exit time for the area; purpose of the flight.

5 Other

The non-participating aircraft are unauthorised to fly in the temporary restricted (R) areas activated by NOTAM without a prior coordination.
